    Jano Kotzas

Managing Director and Founder of The Prop House Collective

After working as a freelance window dresser and starting her own business at the age of 19, Jano started The Prop House in 1995. With hard work, dedication, kindness, creativity, and attention to detail being the foundations of her business, this success formula has seen her business thrive and grow.
The Prop House has been an award-winning event styling and prop hire business for close to 30 years. This year saw the launch of The Prop House Collective; a merger of The Prop House with VM+ to form an events, activations and Christmas powerhouse. Together with Christmas Decorations Brisbane (the company’s online Christmas sales platform) Jano and her team have become a much-loved part of Brisbane’s business and events landscape.
Jano can write a book on the art of balancing risk with innovation whilst managing growth through the hardest of times: GFC, Brisbane floods (x2) and a global pandemic. With this experience she understands the unique challenges that businesses face and is therefore a strong advocate for small business, women in business and leadership.
With a passion for innovation, sense of fun, belief in giving back and a constant drive for success, her vitality, enthusiasm, and energy are welcomed assets.
With The Prop House Collective relocated into a brand new, bigger and better location, and so much in her legacy, the horizon looks brighter than ever for Jano Kotzas.
