Join us for a special event this October as we come together to raise awareness and support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer is a significant health concern affecting millions of women worldwide, and this month serves as a reminder to prioritise education, early detection, and research.

We will be joined by Rachelle Panitz, Manager and Founding Director of So Brave. After being diagnosed with breast cancer herself, Rachelle made it her mission and passion to empower young breast cancer survivors, raise awareness and fundraise for breast cancer research.

So Brave has become Australia's only young women's breast cancer charity, promoting health literacy, self-health advocacy, and breast awareness. Rachelle has worked tirelessly with her team of supporters, artists, donors, and sponsors to empower young women with breast cancer. Her advocacy and leadership to share your breast cancer experience has empowered thousands of young women to become breast aware and become their own best self-health advocate.

Founder and Managing Director of So Brave

After a career in public service, Rachelle was poised for success in international engagement, when her entire world changed with an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis. Her passion for community service and change was ignited following the shock of her breast cancer diagnosis - as a young mother in 2014 and as a young woman with no family history of breast cancer, a 3-year-old daughter and a 6-week-old son.

After 18 months of intense treatment, Rachelle knew that she wanted to make sure other young women were #breastaware and vigilant. Rachelle is now the Founder and Managing Director of So Brave, Australia’s Young Women’s Breast Cancer Charity.

So Brave has become Australia's only young women's breast cancer charity, promoting health literacy, self-health advocacy, and breast awareness. Rachelle has worked tirelessly with her team of supporters, artists, donors, and sponsors to empower young women with breast cancer.
